PERFORMING ARTS COMMUNITY

Act Alive Academy offers performing arts programs for kids, teens and adults on the traditional and unceded territory of Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation) in what is now known as Squamish BC.
Our mission is to offer classes, camps and birthday parties which are a safe space for kids and teens to be themselves while singing, dancing and acting. Students will exercise their bodies and minds, making connections and having fun.
Our Classes
Our classes give students the chance to build confidence, explore their creative sides and develop new skills. Students will learn teamwork and co-operation, time management and organizational skills, self discipline, self love, body awareness, the ability to think on their feet, communication skills, resilience and to open their minds to new ideas and possibilities.
We offer various exciting performance opportunities throughout the year, highlighted by our year-end main stage production at Squamish’s Eagle Eye Theatre.

Community Engagement
We believe in giving back to our community and offer chances for our students to lift and be lifted through outreach, volunteerism and scholarships.
Our Academy is a safe-space where children come to be inspired creatively and to grow both as people and performers.
Act Alive makes it fun, inclusive and safe for kids of all ages to be themselves and bring out their passion/talents.As a mom I will forever be grateful for Act Alive, every teacher treated my daughter like their own, we feel like we are part of a family and I am always so impressed with each teacher's dedication to make it about the kids.

OUR ACTIVITIES
Upcoming Events
We are thrilled to announce that our Summer Camps are back for another year! Featuring our ever-popular Musical Theatre-themed camps, these fun and creative programs are designed for children ages 3 to 12.
Join us for a week of singing, dancing and acting as we immerse ourselves into the theme of each camp, and put together a show to be performed for families on the last day. Campers will gain confidence, learn new skills and have a blast taking on the scenes, songs and characters from their favourite Broadway and animated musicals. Students will come away from the camp with new friends and life long memories, and you will have your heart filled with the sound of their voice as they share their new favourite songs with you!
